Meteoroid

A meteoroid is a small, natural, rocky object, between 30 micrometers and 1 meter in diameter, traveling through space. Larger objects are called asteroids. When a meteoroid enters the earth's atmosphere it is called a meteor. The majority of meteoroids in the Solar System come from the Asteroid belt.
