Metro is a series of free daily newspaper distributed on the public transport networks of over 100 major cities in 21 countries around the world. It claims more than 18.5 million daily readers, and like the other free offerings is charged with causing the downfall of the major pay newspaper.

Metro is also the name of several different public transport networks.
