Middlesbrough F.C. ('Boro') is a English soccer team based in Middlesbrough, in north-east England. They currently play in the Football League Championship. The team is managed by Gordon Strachan and is sponsored by Garmin.
History[edit]
The side was founded in 1876 by members of Middlesbrough Cricket Club. Between 1903 and 1995 its home ground was Ayresome Park but in 1995 it moved to the Riverside Stadium. Middlesbrough were winners of the League Cup in 2004. Middlesbrough were relegated from the Premier League in 2016/2018.
