Midland is a city in Texas, and has a population of 102,000.

Midland (and nearby Odessa) are located in the Permian Basin, one of the most productive oil fields in the world.

The city is home to the Midland Rockhounds, currently playing in the Texas League as the Oakland Athletics AA farm team.
