Midwest literature

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Midwest literature includes the works of these writers:

Also included should be the world-renowned cartoonist Charles Schulz ("Peanuts") and the Nobel Prize-winning songwriter Bob Dylan, both of whom were from Minnesota. Popular musician and songwriter Prince (musician) was also from the Midwest.

Style[edit]

The Midwest literary style is less pretentious and more direct. Some of it has a sweetness to it, or an innocence. There is a health skepticism, like the "Show Me State" motto of Missouri.

Moral values are strong in much of Midwest literature, such as F. Scott Fitzgerald's early works.
