Modern music

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Modern music, in common usage, refers to music released in the 21st Century (2000AD - 2099AD). There are many new movements in popular music since 1999, such as the House revival and New Rave, as well as new genres like dubstep, post-rock and breakcore. Mainstream music has been increasingly abandoning traditional rock and traditional pop formats.

The distribution methods of modern music are drastically different to those in the 20th Century; most music is now sold online through stores like iTunes, and increasingly provided online for free by the artists.
