Nagesh Kariyappa is the National General Secretary of NSUI,[1] the student wing of Indian National Congress. Nagesh Kariyappa was appointed as the National General Secretary from Karnataka of NSUI by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.[2]
Nagesh Kariyappa was born on 15 February 1994, in the city of Mysore, Karnataka India.[3]Nagesh Kariyappa completed his primary and secondary education in Mysore. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws. He was an active student leader during college and protested against "anti-student" policies.
Nagesh Kariyappa subsequently held NSUI state-level leadership roles in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Jharkhand also held several protests[4][5].[6]He campaigned against cheating in exams and started his carrier as a NSUI Mysore City Secretary in 2010.
Nagesh Kariyappa filed a missing person report with the Delhi police against Union Home Minister Amit Shah since he was missing during pandemic[7]. Kariyappa also raised several missing reports against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Smriti Irani, S. Jaishankar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan, Narendra Singh Tomar, Prakash Javadekar, Harsha Vardhan and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at the Parliament Street police station at New Delhi.[8]. He also filed complaint against Ramdev for alleged allopathy remarks.[9]
