New York values

New York values refers to glaring difference between New York City and the rest of the nation as they look down their noses at fly-over country. Ted Cruz famously referred to it by saying, "But everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro- gay-marriage, focus around money and the media...Not a lot of conservatives come out of Manhattan. I’m just saying." [1] New York hasn’t voted for a Republican president since 1984.

New Yorkers are famous for being rude, socially liberal, in favor of big government, in favor of social leftism – and most of all, convinced of their own superiority.

Mark Twain said in 1885, "“All men in New York insult you--there seem to be no exceptions..." Governor Andrew Cuomo said in 2010 that people who are pro-traditional marriage, pro-life, or pro-gun “have no place in the state of New York.”[2]

New York values have recently included the harassing and pepper-spraying of Jewish children[3] as well as punching/hurling rocks at those who participate in peaceful demonstrations in support of Trump.[4]
