The Nissan Altima is a mid-sized car made by Japanese automaker Nissan. It was first released in 1993 as a competitor to vehicles such as the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. The Altima is built in Japan, Mississippi, and Tennessee, but most of the North American-spec cars are built in the United States. Currently, the Altima is on its fifth generation, and is one of the best selling cars in America.
