Nuremberg (German: Nürnberg) with its 510,000 inhabitants is the second biggest city in the German federal state (Bundesland) of Bavaria. It is the biggest city in the region Franconia.

From 1927 until 1938, the Nazi party hold its big rallies in the city.

After the World War II, Nuremberg hosted the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal.

Politics[edit]

The strongest party of Nuremberg is the left-center SPD. After it comes the conservative Christian Social Union of Bavaria. The mayor of Nuremberg is Ulrich Maly, a member of the SPD.
