Sir Patrick Stewart (born 1940) is an English stage and TV actor, best known for his portrayal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek (TNG) and his tagline, "Make it so, Number One." [1] He has also starred as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, and has performed many stage roles, including some of the most challenging Shakespearean parts.

He was honoured with an Order of the British Empire in 2001 and knighted in 2010.
