Pro-life organizations

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 2 min

Pro-Life Organizations are not as well publicized as Pro-"choice" organizations like Planned Parenthood. This does not in any way mean that they do not exist. In general, there seem to be three categories of them. The first is aid organizations, which offer advice, encouragement, and equipment to mothers. The second is political—these work through the political system to reduce abortion and save babies. Lastly, there are outreach and education organizations. These work by persuasion and education to encourage mothers to keep their children.

Aid Organizations[edit]

  • Birthright International is very dedicated to helping mothers (especially unprepared ones) carry their unexpected child to term and begin raising him/her.[1]
  • Heartbeat International Offers an Option Line to discuss options other than just abortion, and an Abortion Pill Rescue Network which helps pregnant mothers who have just taken the abortion pill, but are now regretting that choice.

Political Organizations[edit]

  • Operation Rescue is a political and outreach organization which works primarily to close down dangerous abortion clinics and educate the public.

Outreach/Education Organizations[edit]

  • Anglicans for Life are an outreach group especially for Christian churches which tries to speak out for all life, both the unborn and the aged.
  • Priests for Life is a group of Catholic priests who speak and work against abortion and euthanasia.[7]
  • The Center for Medical Progress is not purely a pro-life organization, but has made dramatic steps to stop abortion and the sale of body parts from this practice. They work "monitoring and reporting on medical ethics and advances."[9]
