Progressive Conservative Party of Canada

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The Progressive Conservative Party of Canada was a center-right Canadian political party which was dissolved in 2003 to join with the Canadian Alliance to form the Conservative Party of Canada. It was Canada's dominant party through most of the 1980s and the very early 1990s. However, after a disastrous performance in the 1993 Canadian federal elections, it was never again a major force in Canadian politics as Canadian conservatism was primarily represented on the federal level by the Reform Party (which renamed itself the Canadian Alliance).

The conservative parties in most Canadian provinces still use the Progressive Conservative name.
