Pruning

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Pruning is the act of cutting, trimming, or removing extra or unnecessary growth from plants. The purpose is for fruit and flower production, visually appealing decoration, limited space, removing diseased portions, or training a bush to become a tree. In either case, it encourages plant health.

However, pruning a plant at the wrong time of year can cause harm to plants. Different plants can be pruned at different times of year.
