Public Administration, sometimes referred to as Public Management or Governance is both an area of activity and a field of study concerned with the organization and administration of the affairs of states, regions, and localities as well as the organizations which they effectively own. The study of Public Administration is concerned with understanding the processes and methods used in connection with these activities, including the possibilities for improving these processes and methods.

Public Administration is closely related to other fields such as Economics and Business Management and will often utilize theories, concepts and methods from these related disciplines.
