Russian Americans

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Russian Americans are American people of whole or partial Russian descent. Most of them are Orthodox Christians. Similarly to Italian Americans, Irish Americans, American Jews, and Polish Americans, Russian Americans are quite widespread in big cities of the Midwestern or northeastern United States, such as Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, Buffalo, New Jersey, and some New England cities such as Boston, Hartford, and Providence. They can also be found in big cities elsewhere in the United States, and are also quite prevalent in Alaska based on the fact that Alaska was a colony of Russia. Many of them fled from Russia in the 19th century and later to avoid communism, among other things.
