Ry Cooder (Born 1947) is a blues and rock guitar player known for his slide guitar work.
Cooder in recent years has alternated between composing soundtracks for films and performing with musicians from around the world, including India's Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Mali's Ali Farka Toure and Cuba's Buena Vista Social Club.
