It involves controlling something or simulating something, such as driving, racing, families/people (like The Sims 2) or building an object. These games are generally not talked about much, but are very popular in the gaming world. Some very popular simulation games include:

• SimCity and other SimCity games
• Various "Sim" games such as SimFarm and SimTower
• Gran Turismo 5 and other games in the series (it is a racing game, but has simulation like features)
