Slepe is a village in Dorset. It is on the A35 and near to Poole. There is no church in Slepe. The closest Church of England church is St Mary Morden in the village of Morden. Slepe is a traditional English village, holding village-wide celebrations at Christmas, Easter and Whitsun. The highlight of the year is the annual Scarecrow competition which is held every September to coincide with Harvest Festival. Famous residents include the Orientalist Joel Mintz who is an authority on sixteenth century Japan.
