From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Squeeze are an English new wave band formed in 1974 in London. They spawned 3 top-10 chart hits in the UK, namely "Cool for Cats", "Up the Junction" (both 1979) and "Labelled with Love" (1981), as well as several hits in the USA with songs including "Tempted" (1981), "Black Coffee in Bed" (1982) and "Hourglass" (1987).

The band has seen numerous different incarnations, being active from 1974-1982, 1985-1999 and again from 2007 onwards, and multiple lineups. The only constant members are the principal songwriters Glenn Tilbrook (b. 1957) and Chris Difford (b. 1954) who are both guitarists and vocalists in the band.
