Steinway and Sons is a major piano manufacturer based in New York City. Their pianos are world-renowned, being used by classical and pop artists. It was founded by Henry Steinway, a German immigrant,in 1853.

Steinway is famous for introducing the cast-iron frame to the piano, which is now the standard.
