Stela of Merneptah

The Stela of Merneptah is a large granite stela originally inscribed by the pharaoh of Egypt, Merneptah (ruled 1231-1203 BC). It was set up to commemorate the Egyptian victories over a number of peoples, but it is most famous because it mentions Israel.
