Sun Records

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Sun Records is a records label founded by Sam Phillips in Memphis, Tennessee on March 27, 1952. Phillips played a key role in the development of American popular music, discovering musicians such as Elvis Presley, (whose contract was sold to RCA Victor for $35,000 due to Phillips' financial woes), Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash, and recording and releasing their music on his label.
