Superstition is a popular song written and recorded by Stevie Wonder. The lead single from Wonder's 15th album, Talking Book, it became a #1 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Soul Singles charts, his first #1 hit in a decade. It won two Grammys (Best Rhythm and Blues Song, and Best Vocal Performance, Male).

The song has been recorded by other artists. One of the more notable re-recordings was that done by Texas blues band Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, which was accompanied by a somewhat hilarious video. The video features Vaughan performing numerous acts which would be considered "superstitious" (breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder, and performing a concert on Friday the 13th, among others). Throughout the video a black cat is repeatedly jostled by the band while setting up; the cat gets its revenge on the band (except for Vaughan) and is held at the end by Stevie Wonder.
