The Games That Daddies Play

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The Games That Daddies Play is a country song by Conway Twitty. It was his 17th #1 hit.

The song tells of a seven-year-old boy, raised by a single mother, who asks if he can go on an overnight trip with his friend (Billy Parker) and his friend's dad, and engage in "games daddies play", that being traditional father-son activities such as hiking, fishing, and father-son conversations.

His mother cries at the request, realizing he's asking a deeper question: where is his own father? She has to sadly tell him that both of them were the victim of "another kind of game that daddies play" -- that being his father abandoned them six years earlier.
