WGBH-TV is a PBS affiliate station in Boston, Massachusetts. The channel is very influential throughout the public broadcasting system, producing more than two-thirds of all nationally distributed PBS programming.^[1] Through its WGBH Media Foundation subsidiary, WGBH also does closed captioning for many television programs, on PBS itself, on commercial TV networks and for shows originally aired on the networks in years past but which are currently rerun in off-network syndication.
