From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

Water pipelines are ideas to transport water dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of miles to drought-stricken regions, which are primarily in the southwestern United States.[1]

Arizona legislatures have a proposal for sending water from the Mississippi River through a pipeline to the depleted Colorado River, which supplies much of Arizona's water needs. The Midwest would be expected to oppose this.
