Wave on Wave is a country song by Pat Green, from his 2003 album of the same name. Charting at #3 on the country charts it is his most famous release.

The song gained popularity when the University of Iowa Hawkeyes began playing the song during football games, at the end of the first quarter when the team and fans started a new tradition: "The Wave", where people in attendance (including opposing teams and their fans) turn and wave toward children (and their families) who are patients at the Iowa Stead Children's Hospital (located adjacent to Kinnick Stadium).
