Cs Portal > List of citizen science projects > Air Quality with Biomarkers: Lichens - (2013/12/21)
IDENTIFICATION
⇳ Description Lichens are sensitive to air pollution, specially the air's acidity. Therefore, the presence or absence can be used to see how clean the air is.
The goal of this application is to help to analyze, classify and measure the size of the lichens in order to study the quality of air in different areas of the cities. ➠ Purpose This is a demo project that shows potential of the pyBossa platform. ? Research question Can the correlation between Biomarkers(Lichens) and air composition produce a reliable map of air quality?
Is pyBossa a good platform for crowdcrafting ?

GUIDANCE
❂ Feedback and guidance description Process is very simple so all the information users need is on the initial introduction page or in the question being asked. The questions are asked gradually and without redundancy (eg. if there is no lichen in the picture, you don't have to answer any other questions about that photo). Users can always see their progress bar for all tasks.
