Cancellation of singularities

From Encyclopedia of Mathematics - Reading time: 1 min

See Removable set.

Comments[edit]

Usually this is called "removing singularities" , or has no special name at all in complex analysis. A singularity of a function (class of functions) that can be removed is called a removable singularity, or a removable singular point, for this function (class of functions).
