2K Play is an American video game publisher and a division of 2K Games. Founded in September 2007 for a partnership between Take-Two Interactive and Nickelodeon, the division publishes family-friendly games for Take-Two Interactive.
2K Play was established on September 10, 2007, coinciding with a partnership between Take-Two Interactive and Nickelodeon, which would make the company able to publish games based on the Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! licenses.[1] 2K Play consumed all assets of Take-Two Interactive's former budget range label, Global Star Software, including the Cat Daddy Games game development studio and the intellectual property of the Carnival Games and Deal or No Deal games.[2] The company would furthermore publish other family-friendly titles going forward.[3]
