Kano Applications Inc is a self-funded Canadian indie gaming studio based in Victoria. Founded in October 2008 to create F2P cross platform social games for mobile and web platforms.[1] They have acquired millions of players across mobile and social networks such as Facebook, Myspace, Kanoplay, Armor Games, Kongregate, App Store and Google Play Store.
History
In 2008 Kano released their first game Viking Clan in partnership with the developer behind Mob Wars. Viking Clan gained 250,000 players within weeks of its launch on Facebook and MySpace.[2] Viking Clan’s success was followed by Mob Wars: La Cosa Nostra and others.
In 2020 Kano released FUBAR: Just Give’r, a project in collaboration with Vancouver ’s Eastside Games.[3][4]
In 2021 Kano announced a partnership with Eastside Games to release 3 more titles for iOS and Android.[5] Idle Distiller is the 1st of the 3 announced with a targeted launch date of Q3 2021.
