Ledger Investing is a financial technology startup started in 2016 in Mountain View, California. It was part of the Y Combinator W17 batch.[1][2] The company's state of incorporation is Delaware.[3]

Overview

Ledger Investing was founded in 2016 and builds capital markets solutions to sell and buy securities for Insurers and Institutional Investors.[4]

The company raised venture funding from investors including, MassMutual Ventures, Signalfire, Accel, and Crosscut Ventures. The cumulative investment received in "seed funding" and "series A funding" was more than $15M.[5][6][7][8]

Since June 2017, Ledger Investing is the direct sole owner of "Ledger Capital Markets LLC", a broker-dealer registered with the SEC and a member of FINRA and SIPC.[9]

In March 2021, the company announced that Peter Hancock joined its board of directors.[10][11]

In September 2021, the company launched an investment fund with a focus on insurance-linked securities.[12][11]

In December 2021, the company reported placing more than $300m of insurance premium into capital markets.[4][13]
