Vanguard Games was a Dutch video game developer based in Amsterdam. Founded by Martin de Ronde and Michiel Mol, through the merger of Karami and W!Games, in September 2010, the company merged with Force Field in April 2016. Vanguard Games is best known for Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike.
On 15 September 2010, Karami, a video game developer founded by Martin de Ronde and Michiel Mol (also founders of developer Guerrilla Games) earlier that year, merged with W!Games, another developer, and formed Vanguard Games.[1][2][3][4]
Vanguard Games developed Gatling Gears, a successor to W!Games-developed Greed Corp, Base Busters, a mobile game, as well as Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike, two spin-offs in the Halo franchise. On 14 April 2016, Vanguard Games merged with Force Field, a virtual reality game developer.[5][6]
