Yingli UAV is a Chinese UAV developed by Yingli and it is an experimental UAV developed to test the feasibility of solar power as propulsion for UAV.
solar-powered UAV is a fixed-wing UAV developed by Yingli to study the feasibility of utilizing solar power to propel UAV. The solar-powered UAV is a light weight fixed-wing UAV in twin-boom layout and tricycle landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a two-blade driven pusher engine mounted at the rearend of the fuselage. The engine is electrically powered and the power source comes from the solar panels mounted on the upper surface of the wing. The fuselage of the UAV has a rectangular cross section, where the area on the top and sides of the exterior skin of the fuselage are used to mount additional solar panels.[1] Specification:[2]
