The following is a list of cryptocurrencies having the greatest market capitalization. Market capitalization is calculated from the price per coin (as recorded on selected day) multiplied by the number of coins in circulation. As of October 2021, there were over 12,000 cryptocurrencies with a total market capitalization of over $2 trillion.
