The Seven Deadly Sins of Business

From HandWiki - Reading time: 1 min

The book The Seven Deadly Sins of Business: Freeing the Corporate Mind from Doom-Loop Thinking is about seven mistakes that businesses often make that lead to financial loss or even bankruptcy. The author, Eileen C. Shapiro, details how these mistakes are often made because on the surface they appear to be good practices. However, they have harmful consequences that, if not discovered in time, can lead to misfortune for a business.

This book is geared towards managers because the “sins” involve decision making at higher levels. However, they can be applied to workers at all levels of an organization because faulty decisions can be made at personal as well as business-wide levels. The “seven deadly sins” also have great significance to entrepreneurs because someone starting and running their own business may not have the luxury of coworkers or bosses that can critique the decisions they make.
