Kogut–Susskind fermion

Kogut–Susskind fermions are a lattice version of Kähler–Dirac fermions,^[1] which obey a first-order differential equation by taking an alternative^{[clarification needed]} square root of the Laplacian than that used by Dirac.^[2] They are named after John Kogut and Leonard Susskind.
