The Argonaut (magazine)

From HandWiki - Reading time: 1 min

The Argonaut is a student-led termly Anthropology magazine, based in and sponsored by the Department of Anthropology, London School of Economics (LSE).

History

The magazine was initially published in 1972 as the very first Anthropology magazine run by a body of students. Nonetheless, it wasn't until 2015 that saw its republication.

The name of the magazine, the Argonaut, was taken from Argonauts of the Western Pacific, a pioneering ethnographical work by Bronisław Malinowski, one of the intellectual founders of modern British social anthropology, who spent most of his academic career at the LSE.[1][2]
