Chanty is an all-in-one collaboration tool for onsite and remote teams. Like other collaboration tools, it offers many IRC-style features, including persistent chat rooms (channels) organized by topic, private groups, direct messaging, audio messages, task management, video calling, and more..[1]
Chanty's specialty relies on its unique Kanban board and easy-to-use features that allow employees to be more efficient. The efficiency of its Kanban board promises productivity to increase by 55%.
Back in 2017, Chanty was founded by Dmytro Okunyev [2][3]for the internal use of his team. The team needed a collaboration tool that would not limit their message history, allow group audio and video calls and have its own built-in task manager to help manage the team's projects.
In 2017, Dmytro and his team started working on a communication app with unlimited message history [4][5].
Shortly after they realized they could make some money from it, so they launched a beta to enter the market.
In early 2019 Chanty launched one-on-one and group audio calls as well as one-on-one video calls [6]
Soon after they integrated Asana, Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, Mailchimp, Trello, Gdrive, Dropbox, Onedrive in their software.[7]
In November 2020 Chanty was translated into Spanish, Turkish, German, and Russian.
In December 2020 Chanty announced long-awaited group video calls with a screen sharing feature.[8]
Now Chanty has more than 70,000 teams worldwide.
Chanty offers audio and video calling, screen and file sharing, text and voice messages, task management, and integrations [[9]]. Users can also use emojis, gifs, pins, threads, and mentions [10]. Chanty's free plan is for teams with up to 10 members and offers unlimited public and private conversations as well as unlimited searchable history.
Chanty teams are allowed to communicate via direct or one-on-one messages, public and private conversations[11]. Public conversations are open for everyone on the TeamSpace and they do not require an invitation from the team admin, while private conversations can be joined by invite-only.
Voice messages are also available with Chanty. Users can send voice messages to teammates instantly on the go.
Chanty provides the possibility for audio calling and video conferencing between team members or the whole team [[12]] [[13]].
Chanty includes task management features along with a Kanban board. This is a simple way to manage tasks, assign a team member, set a due date and priority for any task [[14]] [[15]].
Chanty integrates with third-party apps like Trello, Asana, Zapier, Google Drive, Dropbox, Onedrive, GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Mailchimp, Giphy, etc.
All Chanty communication is stored in the Teambook which is a single hub to organize tasks, conversations, pinned messages, and content [[16]] [[17]].
Chanty provides mobile apps for iOS and Android in addition to their Web browser client and desktop clients for macOS, Windows and Debian.
