Wialon is a platform for GPS tracking and IoT, which allows users to track mobile and stationary units (vehicles, machinery, buildings, mobile personnel, pets, etc.)[1] in 130+ countries worldwide. It is developed by the private Belarusian company Gurtam headquartered in Minsk. The platform is distributed through the network of satellite monitoring systems integrators.
Wialon partner network consists of 2,300+ companies that provide complex satellite transport monitoring services.
In November 2016, the millionth vehicle was connected to Wialon; in May 2019, there were 2 million vehicles[2], and in July 2020 – 2,5 million[3]. In January 2022, there were more then 3 million vehicles.
In 2020, Berg Insight research agency announced Wialon[4] to be the leading fleet tracking and management system in Eastern Europe, CIS countries, and Russia[5].
The platform receives all the data from sensors installed in the monitored unit, processes it, and presents it in the form of reports and graphs. The data obtained can also be exported to files of various formats.
Wialon is distributed in two formats:
In addition to the desktop version, there is a Wialon mobile application for iOS and Android.
To develop platform-based solutions, the developers provide an SDK. Open API enables the integration of Wialon with other services such as accounting systems, for example.
