Wide Wide Clipper (ワイドワイドクリッパ Waido Waido Kurippa) is a redemption game developed and released by Namco in 2001. It is based on the company's Clena-Flex series of prize machines and would later receive a sequel titled Wide Wide Clipper Blue Version (ワイワイクリッパーブルーバージョン Waido Waido Kurippa Burū Bājon) in 2002.[1]
The player must use the three buttons on the control panel to maneuver a crane mounted to the top of the cabinet.[2] The first button moves the crane forward and backward, the second button moves the crane right, and the third and final button moves the crane left. Once the player lets go of all the buttons, the crane will halt and descend into the cabinet and close, potentially acquiring the prize inside the cabinet. The crane will then rise and move itself towards the prize chute, and the game will be over.[3]
