The Knowledge Standards Foundation (KSF) [1][2] is a nonprofit organization defining technical standards for the free exchange of encyclopedic information. The Knowledge Standards Foundation was founded in September 2019 by Wikipedia ex-founder Larry Sanger and a growing team.
KSF develops the standards and tools for the Encyclosphere project. Its mission is to help bring the encyclosphere [the universal network of encyclopedias] into being. Its headquarters are in Ohio. It achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2020.
