Fungi (singular: fungus) are eukaryotic organisms, and include yeasts, molds and mushrooms. Mushrooms are fungi that have fruiting bodies that produce spores. Fungi were once considered to be plants but are now considered to be a separate kingdom based on molecular phylogenetic analysis.
