Larose was a 2016 Republican presidential candidate.[1]

Larose was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Louisiana.

Barry Hess and Alan White ran as write-in candidates in the race. Hess received 329 votes and White received 101 votes. Libertarian write-in candidates were required to receive at least 3,335 votes to make the general election ballot.

Larose ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Louisiana's 2nd District. Larose faced incumbent Cedric Richmond (D), Gary Landrieu (D), Dwayne Bailey (R), and Caleb Trotter (L) in the November 6 blanket primary.[2]
