    Hungary (Hungarian: Magyarország), officially the Republic of Hungary, is a country in the Carpathian Basin of Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. Its capital is the city of Budapest on the Danube River.

    Hungary is an OECD, NATO, EU and Schengen Area member. The country's main language is Hungarian, a member of the Finno-Ugric language family.
