From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The Asiento was a licence issued by the Spanish Crown in 1713, as a part of the Treaty of Utrecht. As a result, the war of the Spanish Succession came to a conclusion and Britain gained the sole right to sell slaves into Spanish colonies until 1750 with the passage of the Treaty of Madrid.[1]
