    Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (born Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Middleton, January 9, 1982), is the wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. The couple met whilst studying at St Andrews University in Scotland.

    She married Prince William on April 29, 2011, in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London. The day was marked by a public holiday in the United Kingdom.

    The Duchess and her husband have two children: a son, Prince George of Cambridge, born July 22, 2013,[1] and a daughter, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, born May 2, 2015.[2]
