Indonyus

It has been speculated by evolutionists that this fox-sized mammal is the long-sought land-based ancestor of whales, dolphins and porpoises and that the animal lived mainly on land but dived into water to escape predators. Based on evolutionary theory, the animal fossils are believed to be about 48 million years old. Also according to evolutionary theory, whales are believed to have evolved from land-dwelling mammals, but no "missing link" has been found. Some believe that despite the lack of similarity in physical appearance that some anatomical similarities place the indonyus as the closest relative they have found to be that missing link.
