Jay Alan Sekulow is the Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), an organization that specializes in constitutional law. He was raised Jewish, but converted to Christianity, and considers himself a Messianic Jew.

Sekulow is a graduate of Mercer University. He received both a bachelor's degree and doctor of jurisprudence, and he served on the Mercer Law Review as an editorial staff member. He also has a Ph.D. from Regent University.

Sekulow has earned a national reputation for defending Constitutional rights and religious freedoms. He has appeared before the Supreme Court many times, successfully arguing the Mergens case, the Lambs Chapel case, and McConnell v. FEC, among others. In 1990, he founded the American Center for Law and Justice. The National Law Journal has named him in the "100 Most Influential Lawyers" in the country twice.
